PEDIGREE

... TUDOR - the English king from the Tudor dynasty (1485-1603), the house of Wales, the founder of which was Henry VII, who as the head of the House of Lancaster won the battle of Bosworth, defeating Richard III in the famous War of the Roses (white and red), and reached finally the recognition of his reign. Other significant monarchs included his son Henry VIII and his children - Edward VI, Elisabeth I and the famous Mary I called "Bloody Mary"...

Bloody Mary

The pedigree of the Pilsen band, which decided to bear the name of this famous dynasty, is not so long. The TUDOR band was established in 1987 by Petr H. Batek, who created the band's first repertoire with a bass guitar player (and nowadays a world-known seafarer) David Krizek and a guitar player Ivo Kopecky. After the tremendous launch onto the Czech music scene and a short cooperation with Lukas Kuhajda or Andrej Vasko, the composition of the band finally "crystallized": the TUDOR is made up by a trio comprising Ruda Lukes (vocals, bass guitar), Libor Danis (guitar) and Petr H. Batek (drums, vocals). In this composition the band produced several demo-shots within its well-functioning Fan club ... Squadron of dead, Zombie, Skeletor and subsequently also its first SP called SPALOVNA (incineration house) containing compositions such as Spalovac mrtvol (cremator of corpses) and Skeletor II. In 1992 so far the largest work of the band was created, i.e. the album BLOODY MARY - a monothematic story about the queen Mary I the Bloody. The album faced difficulties with the editors and therefore it was released in a limited edition of copies on audiotapes only, with the cover made by the famous art photographer Josef Kuda. Later the TUDOR band recorded one more tape with the name ZAPOMEN (Forget), this being somewhat a lateral project, which considerably deviates from the band's direction, mainly with its style orientation. In 1993 the TUDOR breaks up. For recording of the music performance in the Petr Janda's program called "Rock map", Ruda Lukes is substituted by Pavel Batek. Subsequently from the modified composition a revival project called THE END OF COLOURS is formed and the TUDOR lies down for an eight-year sleep!

Spalovna

The wake takes place in August 2001, when Petr H. Batek calls the original partners Ruda Lukes and Libor Danis together for further cooperation. All of them are truly filled with energy and feel to be touched by the performance of the German formation Rammstein. Together with the new guitar player Mira Sebek they compose a brand new repertoire! The TUDOR is back to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its existence... since May 2002 in the music ring again - this time fully rested and uncompromising.
